UCM Distinguished Music Alumnus Returns for 'Victory Vertical Pianos' Musical Presentation
The 欧美视频 School of Visual and Performing Arts is hosting a public musical presentation about the World War II-era 鈥淰ictory Vertical Piano鈥� program by 2010 UCM Distinguished Music Alumnus Dr. Garik Pedersen at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27 in Hart Recital Hall, located in the Utt Music Building. The public is invited to attend this free event co-sponsored by the UCM Department of Music and the UCM Speaker Series.

CIS Celebrates Ribbon Cutting for New UCM-Aureus AI and Analytics Lab at Missouri Innovation Campus
WARRENSBURG, MO -- The 欧美视频's Computer Information Systems (CIS) program in the Harmon College of Business and Professional Studies on Friday, Oct. 21 will celebrate its 52nd anniversary from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new UCM-Aureus Artificial Intelligence Lab, located at the Missouri Innovation Campus in Lee's Summit. Members of the campus community and the public are invited to attend the event. University President Roger Best will conduct the ribbon cutting at 2 p.m., and there will be remarks by Abhishek Pakhira, chief operating officer at Aureus Tech Systems.

Six Individuals Will Be Honored This Weekend as Distinguished Alumni
Along with traditional events such as a parade and football game, the 欧美视频鈥檚 2022 Homecoming celebration will also be an opportunity to recognize six individuals whose professional achievements and volunteer service earned them recognition as UCM Distinguished Alumni. This is the highest form of recognition given to alumni at an annual ceremony sponsored by the UCM Alumni Foundation.

'UCM Inclusivity Day' Oct. 10 Coincides with Worldwide Observance Celebrating Differences
Coinciding with 鈥淲orld Inclusion Day鈥� on Monday, Oct. 10, the 欧美视频 is hosting its own festivities thanks to a Student Government Association (SGA) referendum that was approved this semester by University President Roger Best. The first 鈥淯CM Inclusivity Day,鈥� sponsored by the SGA, is planned for noon to 3 p.m. Monday at the quadrangle.

UCM Theatre and Dance Members Recognized During STAM Conference
More than 50 faculty members, students, emeriti and alumni from the 欧美视频 Division of Theatre and Dance attended the annual Speech and Theatre of Association of Missouri (STAM) conference Sept. 22-24 at the Lake of the Ozarks. In addition to presenting workshops and participating in recruitment events, UCM members were honored in multiple areas of speech and theatre, including Hall of Fame recognition, during the event which continues to showcase the strength of UCM programs and their great impact on speech and theatre education in Missouri.

Missouri Court of Appeals, Western District Convenes at UCM on Oct. 12
An opportunity for students and other interested individuals to see the judicial process in action, the Missouri Court of Appeals, Western District, will convene at the 欧美视频 in Warrensburg on Oct. 12. The oral arguments will be held in the ballroom of the Elliott Student Union.
