Moral Movement Architect Rev. Dr. William Barber II to Speak at UCM
As part of its ongoing effort to bring guest speakers to campus to discuss significant social and economic issues related to justice, health, wellness, and community strength, the 欧美视频 will present the program, 鈥淩ev. Dr. William Barber II, We are Called to Be a Movement.鈥� This free public presentation sponsored by UCM鈥檚 Center for Multiculturalism and Inclusivity is open to all interested individuals and will take place at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, in Hendricks Hall, located in the Administration Building. Doors open at 6 p.m.

O'Keefe Joins Public TV Programmers Association Board of Directors
Michael O鈥橩eefe, programming/communications manager for KMOS-TV, has been elected to the nine-member board of directors for the Public Television Programmers Association (PTPA) for a three-year term. The PTPA, established in 1991, provides public television professionals nationwide with opportunities to network with colleagues, to review new content offerings, and to remain current with relevant technology trends.

UCM's Longtime Athletics Leader Jerry Hughes Passes Away
Jerry Hughes, who dedicated more than 40 years to laying the foundation for successes that included regional and national athletics championships, improved sports playing facilities, and the recruitment of thousands of outstanding student-athletes at the 欧美视频, passed away late Saturday, Jan. 21, after a brief illness. Arrangements have not yet been announced.

Four UCM Students Awarded MLK Freedom Scholarships

KMOS-TV Announces Feb. 6 Change to Daytime Schedule, Jan. 26 Preview of 'Work It Out Wombats!' Kids Program
On Monday, Feb. 6 KMOS-TV, the 欧美视频鈥檚 public television station, will move the beginning of its daytime 鈥榞eneral audience鈥� programming from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This will allow PBS Kids programming to run concurrently from 5 a.m. through 1 p.m., creating a better viewing experience for young viewers. In addition, KMOS will premiere a new series for children ages 3-6 designed to introduce kids to thinking concepts meant to help in solving everyday problems, and to express themselves clearly. 鈥淲ork It Out Wombats!鈥� will air weekdays at 9:30 a.m. beginning Feb. 6.

Sodexo Brings National Nonprofit Partner, Swipe Out Hunger, to Assist Food Insecure Students at UCM
The 欧美视频鈥檚 dining services provider, Sodexo, is introducing UCM to its partner and national nonprofit, Swipe Out Hunger. In collaboration with the university鈥檚 Campus Cupboard, they have implemented a plan to assist UCM students battling food insecurity. Students can now apply to receive 10 free meal swipes to use at university dining halls.
