Support, Right Next Door and Beyond!

 

Not sure about your first experience living on campus? You鈥檙e never on your own at UCM. Every residence hall features a dedicated team of students and professional staff ready to help you navigate campus life.

 

Community Advisors

The go-to, trained upper-class student(s) living on your floor who know what it鈥檚 like to be a new student at UCM. CAs:

• Host social events.
• Confront inappropriate behavior to keep the community an orderly place.=
• Connect you with other students and campus resources.
• Help with issues like homesickness and roommate conflicts that sometimes come with the transition into college life.

Hall Directors

Graduate students or experienced undergraduate students who help manage the residence hall. Hall directors:

• Supervise the building staff.
• Monitor the building鈥檚 physical maintenance.
• Help develop a strong community throughout the building.
• Oversee safety and address behaviors that disrupt or harm your success or the community.

Office Assistants

The friendly faces who greet residents and visitors. Office Assistants:

• Handle your mail and sort packages.
• Check out games and equipment.
• Answer daily questions.

Full Time Staff

The staff in the Office of University Housing will help you with meal plan selection, room selection, room changes, and questions regarding fees for housing and meals.  The office has both full-time support staff and professional staff ready to help. 

University Housing is open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (7:30 am - 4:30 pm during the summer), and is located in Ellis Complex, L23 (main lobby).
