Thirty faculty members at the 欧美视频 (UCM) were recently approved
for promotion and/or tenure for Academic Year 2026-27, as announced during the Board of Governors meeting on March 26.
Each year, faculty have the opportunity to apply for promotion and/or tenure by submitting
a packet comprising a dossier and other supporting documents for review by respective
department or school committees, chairs, college committees, deans and the provost.
Following this review, the provost submits recommendations for qualifying faculty
members to the president for consideration and final approval.
鈥淭hese faculty members have undergone rigorous review of their materials by their
colleagues and administrators and represent high levels of achievement across the
areas of instruction, scholarly activity, and service,鈥 said Tim Crowley, provost
and vice president of Academic Affairs. 鈥淭he fundamental strength of any university
lies in the quality of its faculty members and UCM is fortunate to have so much talent
across its departments. Promotion and tenure decisions are reserved for those faculty
members who exceed the peer-driven criteria established by their colleges and departments.
We are proud of these faculty members and look forward to their future accomplishments.鈥
